Create a sleep pattern

Try to start falling asleep and waking up at the same time each and every day, including on saturdays and sundays. If you're used to sleeping at a certain hour, you will be able to maintain the same habit the next days. Also, don't sleep too much as it's not healthy.

Don't try to sleep

The harder you try to sleep, the more awake you are. So don't try so hard to sleep, just read your favorite magazines or fiction books to help you sleep. Some carb snacks will also help.

Say no to smoking and alcohol

You will have less quality of sleep if you smoke and drink alcohol before bedtime. This also applies to soda.

Choose healthy foods

You can try opt for milk, cheese, meat, or fish. These foods contain tryptophan, which is a type of fatty acid that is able to help the body produce serotonin hormone and relax the nerves.
